Watching 2018 Ford Mustang videos on YouTube. I love Mustangs (the amps too) but I'd much rather spend money on a new guitar. :D I'm looking at SG's now.

Just came back from
The Old Spaghetti Factory having had the Manager's special which is spaghetti with two choices of toppings (mine being Mizithra cheese, garlic, and burnt butter on one side, mushrooms and tomato sauce on the other half, all topped with fresh Parmesan) Mmm. If that wasn't enough we brought home fresh hot cinnamon mini doughnuts, and fresh sticky buns (on a customer's recommendation) from the Market for later. Sorry about that, Paul. The Devil made me do it.
I did decline the free Spumoni ice cream though.

FSB
I'll be good tomorrow.

Sounds pretty good. The last time I had anything like that was the chocolate mousse cake for my girlfriend's birthday that was on the 4th. When you're not used to having that much sugar and chocolate condensed together, you can feel like you can fly around the room. :P

Just finished 1.5 quarts of Dryers Rolo Carmel ice cream. That's enough to last me for a month. :)

I just got off the elliptical machine. We had a blizzard rip through here today and it was too windy and cold to walk through that crap, with a wind chill of -5 degrees and 28 MPH winds. I'm not from Canada, after all. :P
You're right, Paul. Up here in Canada we call that a nice day for a stroll. But, we do have sympathy for ya knowing that you don't have dog sleds at the ready, and toques are not as plentiful. Besides, we have enough outside elecrical outlets around town to plug in our cars, trucks, and Zamboni for the winter, and to plug in our amps in the summer. :P

Stay safe, y'all.

You were the one I had in mind when I mentioned that. :P

I did go out tonight. It was 25 degrees, but not windy. It's that wind chill that gets you. We often get those Nor'easters from the Atlantic, especially around this time of year. Up on the 3rd floor/attic level of the house you can really hear the wind howl outside the windows.
Hmm. Kinda thought so. and I know what you mean about the wet Atlantic winters. BRrr.

I've been lucky to experience the fridgid Winter across Canada over the years, but the worst for me was in the early 60s when highways were closed for days, and there was one way in and out in parts of the Bay of Fundy communities where I got to climb out of the 2nd floor window to dig out from the crusty snow outside. Later in 1966 I pulled double shifts having to stay snowed in at a TV/AMFM station for three days at work (tough hey?); but, fortunately, a large mall with major grocery chains and a nearby liquor store was within reach.
Whatever furniture there was, including from Sears, was set up in the center of the mall for shoppers to sleep on.

I guess that's why I find sympathy, but a also little humour at the same time, when I see a grumpy passenger who has a few extra hours waiting for a plane held up by weather. Of course, winter flying in these parts is usually an accepted challenge for our winter experienced pilots.

I'd rather wait for a plane for a few hours, than spend two day riding from Rhode Island to Florida on a Greyhound bus, which I had to do in 2011. Including in those two days was waiting in bus depots, including four hours in Washington DC, with nothing to really do to pass the time. I didn't have an iPhone back then, just a dumb phone that had text. I had a couple of magazines, that I read very, very slowly. :P

Paul & FSB - Living here in the desert I can only imagine those temperatures. We've got jackets on when it goes down to 65.

I've heard it can get cold in the desert at night.

It does get cold at night this time of year. About 15 years ago it went down to the twenties three nights in a row. It killed half our trees.

The desert (not dessert) is one place that has passed me by over the years; but, I hear it has a charm of its own.

I remember the first time I got to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida though. It took me by surprise when I saw an inexpensive white suit with no lining!? About 2 weeks later I found myself in Panama where temperatures were measured in the shade. I got to feel 112 degrees in the shade! Within weeks I was back in the Canadian Winter where there was about 140 degrees difference on the fridgid side. I couldn't stop shaking for little more than a week after getting a blast of cold air full bore stepping off the plane to the Tarmac. So today I'm enjoying the brisk weather with comfort inside while others have workable garage doors, and still others have them blocked off with snow till springtime.
Have a good one. I hope ice cream is on your list. :D

It's amazing how our bodies adjust to different conditions. I cannot take the cold at all but I'm perfectly comfortable at 110 as long as I am in the shade. Have a great day looking at the snow and being cozy warm inside.

It's raining today, so it doesn't look like I'll be going out for a walk, unless it clears up. The premiere of the mid-season of "The Walking Dead" is on tonight, so I'll be checking that out. I'm also going to try to put some time in on my bass.
