I love ice cream too and never knew that. That's really stomach-turning. Do you know what the better brands of ice cream are? Of all the fast food milk shakes, I like Jack in the Box and In n Out the best. They taste like real ice cream to me. I love jelly beans but always thought they were unhealthy. Great news! I'm going to buy some.

Man oh man. Marky. Are you ever lucky for ice cream living in the States. You have many more choices than we do. I honestly could not recommend any single one as even the best of my favourites may not fit the bill. The general rule of thumb is to keep the ingredients simple and avoid a lot of the ingredients you don't know or understand. For the ingredients that you do know you can make a conscious decision. Good luck with that. Usually I just pick the lesser of the two evils. You can always make homemade as I have in the past. The problem is it's expensive; but then again real good ice cream usually is. Gelato and frozen yogurts are usually great options, but that doesn't guarantee healthier or better than good ice cream. I'm not an ice cream snob and I'll take it on my lap, my shirt, my chin, my mouth, but I like it best in my tummy. Right now I have a new brick in the freezer.
Enjoy the jellybeans (jelly bellies are my fave). I always had jbeans in my pocket as a kid long before Ronald Reagan took credit. I earned the nickname Jelly Bean kid and my mother in law used to joke with me and called me Jelly Belly. Hmm. I wonder what ice cream would taste like with jelly bellies being part of it?

I went for a walk then made some bow tie pasta with beef and zucchini sauce for dinner. After I chill for a bit, I'm going to clean up the kitchen. The downside of cooking.
