I just got back from the grocery store a while ago, I'm hoping I don't need to go back to the the store until after Christmas.

I have one week to locate many things to help with a move for my mother who got accepted yesterday for a nice retirement home of her choice. She will be 94 on December 30th. That's when we will make the move.

So today it's pick up the new TV, look for a new bed and some minor furniture, and later we'll pick up a microwave found online last night. It's a small challenge over Christmas with busy traffic and finding whatnots in unfamiliar territory. So far so good. So all is well.

Maybe, I'll run into Nevin on this trip.

I'm still fighting a cold, so I got, what I should have in the first place, some max strength DayQuil and NyQuil liquid medicine. I originally thought it was a minor cold that I'd be over by now, but it's digging in, trying to kick my arse. I go from having coughing fits to my nose running like a faucet and something between the two. I don't feel physically weak, just tired because I didn't sleep well, at least. It's possible that it could be some sort of a flu, but because I had got a flu shot, it's quite minute. If that's the case, I'm glad that I got one, otherwise I could be in the hospital now, or seriously FUBARed.

All set to relax after a hectic week when lo and behold, as the driver, I get a last minute request to tackle the malls again. Oh hum, after all it is Christmas.

Well, I have to say that I'm pretty sad right now. I was forced to shut out a friend, who was like a brother to me, and I've known for 23 years, after he said some pretty sexist and messed up stuff to my girlfriend. She got so pissed off that she actually broke something. I guess because his marriage was falling apart he was trying to drive a wedge between me and her? He was suppose to move back to the US and play guitar with us, but he friggin' blew that by saying f'd up things like he did. Damn him for putting me in this position. I imagine because of it, I'll probably lose some friends that I know because he was closer to them than I was. If so, well there's nothing I can do about it. Life goes on.

Yeah, it was him. I don't know what the hell was up with that. In some ways, it was rather odd some of the things that he said from what I've known him to be like, so maybe he might have been drunk, but he definitely blew it. Yeah, some people don't know when to shut up, or think before they speak. Then again, they could just be simply a-holes. He's going to have to fix it with her, that's even if she'll even give him the time of day. She's gotten to the point in her life to where she's not giving out too many chances with people because of the crap she's had to put of with. I can't say that I could blame her.
