Mrs. FSB made me my favourite Apple Crumble pie to celebrate my 69th. today, and I preceded that scrumptious dessert with holupchies (cabbage rolls) made by her aunt and cousin and with that I was given a Black Russian to wash all that down.

Golly gee, I'm getting old, because next year I'll be the big 70 and Mrs. FSB said she wants to get me another guitar then; perhaps, an electric acoustic like the Gretsch (or another).

I told her she didn't have to do that to which she said, "You mean you wouldn't want that?" I replied, "You're right. I wouldn't want to put anybody out of work."

I had my 45th birthday on the 1st, so you have 24 years, or technically 23 years and 352 days, on me. We're both fire hazards if we have the amount of candles on our cakes for our ages, though.

Just checked with a relative in the Okanagan Valley as to the best current conditions for choosing one of two adventurous road routes to Vancouver, BC. There is a quicker shortcut that is an engineering feat in itself amongst the elevation differences; but, this route has its challenges, many of which are shown on Discovery Channel. Commercial vehicles must use chained wheels. The corresponding TV series is Highway Thru Hell. Pretty much says it all. Been there done that (several times), and I'm about to do it again. Only this time the former laid back summer drive will have a different flavour. Ah, well. This Canuck is up to tasting what it, and winter has to offer. That's how we roll up here in the North. Where's my toque?
