Going to either go for a walk or use the elliptical machine, depending on what my girlfriend wants to do. Then I'm going to make dinner, trying a new recipe. Let's see how that works out.

Well, it looks like my friend who's living in Japan might wind up coming here after all, and play guitar for us. He did ask for a set list and when I talked to him last night on Facebook Messenger (which by the way, you can talk to anyone around the planet for free) he was noodling with his guitar and played a part of one of our songs. So obviously, he's been paying attention to the music. I know this was something he has wanted to do since I've known him when he was 19 and I was 22, so now is the time. We have a lot of things on our plate, but we've always wanted to have a 3rd person to play shows with, which has prevented us from doing them for the most part. I've always gelled with him musically, so this would be a good thing for us to happen.

I'm going to take the old Peavey combo to the donation center. It still works, just needs the pots cleaned or whatever. Maybe someone will get some use out of it, plus it helps other people out by the donation. I got the Fender down here now and amps are so cheap that if I needed another practice amp, that shouldn't be too difficult to eventually manage to get.

They couldn't take the amp because they sell stuff directly to another place and that's how they make their money for their charity, and they don't do repairs. Like I said, it does work, but there's a bit of a short in it with the volume knob. Probably just needs the pots cleaned, most likely, or easy repair, I'm sure. We gave them an ice cream maker which I know definitely works, but we don't use anymore, so at least we didn't go there for nothing. I don't know what we'll do with it, now.

I'm paying bills and wondering when I'm going to make a dent in my Christmas shopping.

If I had it, I'd be tempted to get into the controls, clean around, and check the wiring.

I suppose I could go to Radio Shack and pick up a can of contact cleaner and see what happens. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have some of that around, anyway. I use to have some but I don't know what happened to it. Maybe I used it up and forgot I did.
