True, but still probably out of my reach right now. It's funny, Paul McCartney bought that because it was originally a cheap instrument and couldn't afford a Fender.

Some considered the EKO 995 to be a better bass, at that time. I thought my EKO was up there.

Catching up on e-mail that I've neglected due to travel and 3 days of taking inventory.

Eko made the Vox guitars and basses, too. Most likely, your Italian-made instruments that were made in the 60's were made by them, even though they have a different label. Harmony or Danelectro did that, too. Silvertone was Danelectro, etc. Department stores had their own brand labels.

We sold our Fender Passport 500 PA last night, so now we're going to get another PA system, but not the one we were going to get originally, to save some money. It's still the same brand, but the smaller model and $150 or so cheaper. It's still suitable for our needs.

Cool. I'm glad you were able to sell the PA.

It took awhile to do it, but we did. Now we just have to order the other one and that will be all set.

How long will it take for the new PA to show up?

I think my girlfriend wants to wait and order it next week, so by then and a couple days, when we do so from AMS. They are very fast with deliveries. Usually here within two days.

On our walk tonight, we encountered this guy busking in the park playing the saxophone and he was really good. Come to find out after talking to him, he also plays drums and guitar. Since we've been looking for a third person at least to do shows with or whatever, this could have great potential for all around. I hope it does. Sometimes, things happen like this in life like that. 8)

That would be very cool. I really like hearing about players making a connection like that.

I know. We were even thinking that there was no one around, after running so many ads on Craig's List for so many years, and thought about moving out of state closer to New York, but this happened. Sometimes, you have to look a little closer around you, or things just cross your path.

I know I have had made some introductions over the years, that worked out really well for the players in bands. It was usually I know this drummer you should talk to, etc. We used to do a lot of that way back when. Funny how things worked out, who got to know who.

Sometimes, things happen with fate and timing, too. If we didn't happen to decide to walk that part of the city at that time, then we'd probably would have never ran into him. Then again, that could have happened another time, too.
