Watching my Yankees go down in flames for the third consecutive day. Maybe a wild card spot is only a dream now. Gonna need some help to get it.

UConn football comes back against Virginia after a close loss (and bizarre finish) against Navy last week. We should be 3-0 . . . but we're not.

When I moved to Nova Scotia from the Westcoast as a kid, although I had heroes throughout the league, it was only natural to be a Yankees fan in the neighbourhood. The Bluejays weren't even a pipe dream yet. So I went from door to door trading all my baseball cards like Koufax (Dodgers) and Cepeda (Giants) for Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra cards exclusively. I didn't care where the cards came from - mail order, gum, cereal boxes, collecting wrappers and bags for exchange, you name it. After a move back across country those boxes somehow vanished to the black hole of baseball. Wish I had those cards now.
But, I wouldn't trade the memories.

I was looking online for guitar amp options if I'm going to do gigs playing guitar besides bass (that department has been well taken care of already,) and I don't want to gig the 1982 Super Champ I have, since it's in mint condition from never being gigged. I'm think I might go for something solid state and cheap, but not too horrendous or annoying like a modeling amp. I'm too lazy to scroll through 200 things I'll never use on a tiny screen just to get one or two sounds out of it. I just want to plug in, turn a few knobs, and use stomp boxes for effects, which also you turn some knobs to use.
