Although, I couldn't see my brother throughout his life, he was so excited to have my better half there at the Hospice, and he bragged to everyone that I had come some distance just to see him. Amazing what a blackberry gingerale, some music, and a little poetry can do. I was glad to have been there at the time he needed me. I'm doing okay for now, but I know there will be times to reflect the past.

As the song goes, "You Don't Know What You've Got (Until You Lose It).

So I'm going to remember that, appreciate those around me, and look forward to a positive new day, and I wish you all the same.

Looking for good Labor Day airfares.

Here's hoping you get a great deal, Steve. If you were to search for good air fare deals on this side of the border you would find the added taxes and monopolies would lead you to walking. Out of 135 countries recently surveyed Canada had/has the 8th highest airfares partially because the airports are on Crown land. It sometimes is cheaper to fly out of the country than across it. Canucks often drive and park south to the States to pick up an airline deal.

On that note, today I'm going to have a Hacker-Pschorr wheat beer that my brother recently introduced me to after his trip to Germany.

Just came back from a walk. The weather has been humid, but it is half way through July, so that's expected.

I went for a walk and made burritos. Now I'm sitting in front of a fan trying to cool down. It's been a long time since I cooked that. Actually, It's been almost a few weeks since I even cooked anything. Too friggin' hot in the kitchen with no AC, other than the bedroom, in the summer.
