My initial enthusiasm for assembling my new pedalboard has waned considerably. As I feared, I have a lot of noise which could be from the non-Pedal Power sources (One Spots, old batteries, special wall warts) and I hear something that sounds like a heart beat. I cannot tell where it's coming from.

In brief, I am in troubleshooting mode. I have 14 pedals connected and finding the offender(s) is a lot like finding the bad bulb on the old-fashioned string of Christmas tree lights. Exasperating.

Maybe you might need some sort of noise gate?

I'll bet it wasn't to quiet around town after the game. Red Sox 5, Yankees 1.

Oh yeah, I'm sure that went over well. :P

The city recently decided to raise the water rates because people weren't using as much water as they had before!? The new water plant has.been a disaster, and it's a big money and water drain.

Welcome environmental laws recently increased weeds city wide, and after winter melt it has been very hot and dry with no rain in sight to help with weeds and seeds.

I'm looking out my LR window at my topsoil and seed laid and hosed down yesterday. Today it rained (first of the season) Woo Hoo!!!!

So today I might restring the Strat since I had a string break the other day (Tip: The broken string's ball end stuck to the underside of the saddle with no string to grab or push, and a bared twist tie inserted from the top removed it.) :D
Cheers!

I'm sure the beer flowed after that one, in a happy way in the New England area.

Went for a walk again and made that steak and ramen noodle dish, again. It came out ever better than the last time, I think.

Cooked up some salmon. I sprinkled it with a home made concoction of spices that I named Fishy Wishy. I and the missus liked it, but the fish wasn't too receptive.

I may do that as a last resort, but there is very definitely something wrong with the setup. I have set aside Saturday afternoon to pull it apart and reassemble it, testing each pedal one at a time and then testing the rig each time I add one. I will find the offending pedal, cable, power cord or whatever it is that's screwing things up.

That's the best way to go about it. Check it out systematically. It's a pain in the arse, but at least you'll know for certain.

I have to go shopping. I can't believe it's already Friday. The week went by pretty fast.
