Well, there might be some neighborhoods at night that might be a close approximation. :P

I have to go to the eye doctor this evening. My eyelid above my right eye is a little swollen and the rim of it is red, so I have to see what's up with that. The eye itself seems OK, though. Hopefully, nothing too serious, but I guess it's better to get it looked at right away.

Watching the early NFL games, right now Colts at Dolphins, waiting for my Giants tonight. Stinkin' Giants! Coulda/shoulda had a great season. Coughlan is a survivor, but I don't think even he can survive this season's performance.

I'm on a 10 day course of Augmentin (actually, the generic version and even that stuff is $$$) because I have some sort of infection around my eye, but not the eye itself. It's not pink eye or anything contagious, something to do with a pore being clogged somehow. No clue how that happened. Still, the antibiotics I'm on are apparently pretty potent stuff. I guess that's probably a precautionary thing. Well, if there's anything else wrong with me, that will certainly clear it out. :P

At least it's not in your eye. That's a good thing. Take the meds, and let things do their work. Do they have you wearing a patch?

Just had a rehearsal and practiced the three songs that we are planning on doing for the radio show. It gave me a chance to rehearse through the 2x10" cab. I did try to use my EQ pedal, but I really have to tweak that thing better, because it was causing the cab to distort when I hit certain notes hard. I had to unplug that thing for now. I think I might have had too much low frequency going into it, since that cab is really seems to suited for mid to high range. It should be fine when I get the 18" cab going with it.

Next time, I might go ahead and try the Fender and see how that sounds. I may or may not use it for the radio show. I definitely won't need a huge stack for it, since I'm sure it's probably a small studio, or something like that.

No, luckily it hasn't mess with my eye at all. I'm sure it was smart of me to go in when I did, though. That's one thing I won't screw around with, is my eyes. I'm not that hard-headed. :P

The only thing I have to do is if it doesn't go away, or get worse by the time the antibiotics are done, then I'll have to go back. I hope that wouldn't be the case, since these things are supposed to be really strong.

We had another rehearsal tonight and I played the Squier Jazz Bass through the Rumble 350 combo for grins. You know, it's not too shabby, since I have got the Squier set up pretty good with the Bad $@! II bridge and all. I will say it was a little clacky, but I didn't really fine tune the amp and it may have had the tweeter activated on it. I've noticed there is more of a mid range tone to it than the Schecter. It does have that Jazz bass growl to it, although I suspect the upper end Fenders would be more pronounced with that. Still, it's a comfortable bass to play after all of the adjustments I did to it.

Sitting here at my desk, "working". It's shutdown week but I have to be here to supervise inventory and a couple minor maintenance projects.

Had another rehearsal tonight, this time the Schecter through the Fender Rumble 350 combo. You know, it really sounded pretty damned good. I remembered why I bought that amp in the first place. The Schecter did sound better than the Squier (not to knock it, it's still a decent player) It had a beefier response to it. I suspect it's because the Squier's pick ups are kind of weak in the output. I'll bet a regular Fender would be fine, though. I know the best sounding combination I had was the Fender P Bass Lyte with that Rumble amp. That's what got me posting over here to begin with.
