Played the Squier Jazz and the Peavey Zodiac basses through both my Rumble 350 and Orange Terror Bass 1000 this morning to see what they sound like since I did the modifications. The good news is as far as I could tell the buzz on the A string on the Peavey wasn't picking up through either amp like it did before I swapped out the bridge, even though you can still hear it acoustically on the bass itself. I wish I knew why it is doing that. Hopefully the neck itself isn't screwed up to where that can't be fixed.

The sort of bad news is that although the Bad $@! II bridge made an improvement with the Squier Jazz, the pick ups on it are kind of quiet, in comparison to the Peavey and the Schecter, which I plugged in after those two. I never realized that about them before. The tone isn't terrible, but kind of anemic in comparison, especially when I plugged in the Peavey, but that bass has a beefy output (it also has a P and J style configuration,) which was the reason I got it in the first place. I didn't have the buzz issue until later. I guess if I want to use the Squier, I just have to adjust the volume. Strange that it has weaker pick ups on it.

Watching and listening to the great talent and getting GAS seeing the guitars on the 49th CMA Awards. One of the more plausible award programs IMH0.

Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" crushed the competition with the single of the year and song of the year, but there's plenty more to come. :D

Been shooting footage for a music video for a song on our upcoming EP. My girlfriend now has to edit everything together and that will be released with the EP.

Going to the store to pick up a suit my wife told me I needed. The tailor must have been working over time to get this one to fit. Image

Planning on enhancing my Orange rig by getting a 2x10" cab to go with the 18" one. I'll also have to get a replacement speaker for the 18" to an 8 ohm version, since it's a 4 ohm one and I can't use it with anything else, since the amp only goes down to 4 ohms. I'll be able to get more mid and high range than I've been able to with the 18" and less issues with my tone. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered with that EQ pedal, but I'm sure it will probably still come in handy.

I'm paying bills and doing some belated tax planning . . . but at least I'm not sitting behind the company laptop for another weekend. I might actually have some fun this weekend. I might blow the dust of one of my guitars and play it. Could happen.

Considering whether a Yamaha THR10/C/X would be a cool third amp for convenient battery ops: couch side, tabletop, and back yard.

With the Holiday Sales Discount frenzy already starting up and a GC discount coupon possible at any time, they're likely to be marked down on sale somewhere soon.

Any other Mustang owners have one that they're enjoying?
