I'm going to be doing (almost) nothing for the Labor Day weekend. Work, I mean. I plan to play my guitars, stomp on my pedals and fight with new Windows 10 and my old audio interface.

8) You have a very cool unplanned holiday weekend Steve :D I am chillin' and trying to not overeat "get those cheeseburgers while they're hot"

Trying to get Acid Pro 7 to recognize my vast collection of plug-ins. I'm having to rebuild the whole DAW. There won't be time to use it this weekend.

Next U.S. holiday is Thanksgiving. I need to find a job that takes up less of my time.

Looking forward to hopefully getting back into the studio to put down some bass tracks and using my MXR M81 Bass Preamp. I love the sound I get with that thing on recordings. Image

Watching epic Apocalypse Now. Still great after all these years.

Coppola's the man. IMHO.

YMMV

Sunday morning, watching Joel Osteen. A very good pastor whom I respect because of his thoughtful and constructive sermons delivered to those of us who are listening.

Watching CNN's video on Britain's longest serving monarch and the world's longest serving monarch (the King of Thailand).

I'm wondering how long this tradition will last in it's present state. (no pun intended)

OK, my DAW recognizes my MIDI keyboard and it uses the basic soft synth. Now I need to hook it up with my Garritan Aria soft synth. I have to rebuild my "home studio". . . or at least the computer part of it.

What I'm doing right now is freakin' out. I know the Internet can throw stuff your way when one's interest is passed on to others via cookies or other triggers. But, tonight I was searching for a price on Phillippine Mahogany. While on the lumber store's web page a pop up alerts me to an email about Fender International's offering of a 10 for '15 Limited Edition Mahogany Strat! Not so common (although, I knew of its existence), and I don't usually look for mahogany to do a custom cabinet addition everyday. Another thing - I was surfing the net and the guitar appeared on email not on a web page or Internet pop up. Hmm . . . weird, huh?

Now I know what the Twilight Zone is like.

I kind of had that happen to me last night. My girlfriend and I were watching this video on her iPhone by this potential guitarist who's girlfriend emailed her in response to an ad we have running and he was playing along with the Doors "Love Her Madly" (on a rather bad $@! pink paisley Tele, bad the way) while we had Antiques Roadshow on TV and while we were watching the video, I looked over at the TV and they had featured a Gibson SG Special kind of like Robby Krieger had in the Doors. It was nice guitars on both ends, at least. By the way, the guitarist was pretty good so hopefully things might work out.

Wow! That's pretty kewel, Paul. Two Doors down on TV and iPhone unannounced at the same time. Weird, huh?
My wife writes off these kind of occurances. Better that than me.

Hope your guitarist search works out for ya.

Not looking forward to having a tooth pulled on Tuesday. :( I went to the dentist yesterday and they said it was cracked. Don't know how in the hell that happened, but I've had a sensitivity with it in the past. Something could have happened to it years ago and now got worse. At least it's not a front tooth and some day I'll be able to get it replaced. I'm a little bummed about this, but I know it can be worse.
