Right now I'm learning the bass part to Stuff's version of the Earth Wind and Fire song, "That's The Way Of The World". You have to really use the skin of your plucking fingers on this one, or it will sound too articulate and stick out in the mix.

Stuff was a signed cover band that featured Steve Gadd on drums.

This is the kind of music where you realize how great it is to have a Jazz Bass.

I got a late start today, it's 10:30am and warmer (33 degrees) in Chicago on my birthday. Yep today is the day. My younger sister is taking me to lunch in a couple of hours. We're going to my favorite little cafe just up the street. Thinking about 6 years ago when I first saw the fender lounge forum while shopping for a bass guitar on this website lol, and about cvilleira nikininja Rhumba Ceri Chet yoda beaubs and everyone really, that I would see here daily for those first few years.
