pondering. I've been doing that so much today it feels as if I'm at the ponderosa (ooh that was a bad cowboy joke even for me, ee-aahh).

Oh dear, Texas. 8) I was terrible at math so would do them in order ( to show that I could count at least lol ). Stretch out, take a few deep breaths, locate your center again book-mark it with a thought. Math is no match for you. :D

Up since 5:45. Critters fed. Done breakfast. Lot's to do today. Expect a rainy day. Big event this afternoon. Will be adding a 60th Anniversary '54 Stratocaster with a '1 of 54' neck plate to the stable. 8) The '57 VHR will have to go.

Rebecca...I remember proscrastinating between studying for an organic chemistry final, and reading 'Gone With The Wind'.

You should consider yourself a lucky young lady. Though I've been there and done that with respect to some of the things you're doing, I'm doing a lot of things now which I couldn't do at your age for a variety of reasons. It took many years and hard work to get here. If you keep on your golden path, you'll have much to look forward to. We are most happy for you in that regard.

Today was supposed to be practice day, but flu prevents that.
So I'm working on a novel. Writing truly is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.

Also finishing a hardwood jewelry box I made for someone special to me. Four layers of clear crimson, almost like CAR but seeing the wood grain beneath. Hope she'll like it.

Spring is here, and humidity is back up from the zero of winter, so it's time to check the relief and do truss rod and intonation adjustments. Don't forget, folks - unless you live in a season free environment or only play on the first four frets, it should be mandatory.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of guitar players who are comfortable with cowboy chords and only two octaves of solo play. Nothing wrong with that either, as long as they do it well! Rev. Gary Davis seldom went up on the fretboard, but did quite well, I'd say!

Examining the fret wear in the used section of guitar stores can give a few smiles. I saw one Strat where the B string and the B string only had a substantial amount of fret wear all the way up to the twelfth. The rest was like new. I still haven't figured that one out.

It's 8:46 a.m. on beautiful, blue sky morning. I'm waiting on Fedex's delivery of my Boogie Snake Skin amp. 8)

changing channels the news hypnotizes, the stories are devastating, I slowly turn the sound down, crushed head in the sand.
