I've been grounded. My California and Mexico trip was canceled! Very disappointed.

Getting ready to re-Tolex one of my amps, in this case a 110W Gorilla. I figure it will make a good refresher project as I get ready do the same to an old Kalamazoo amp and a couple of Fender cabinets.

Good rehearsal, met a new drummer coming to rehearse as we were wrapping up. Angel, very good drummer in a band named "Cougar". Now just chillin', sandwich and a cherry coke, reading some threads.

Checking out my Vibro Champ XT. Last night the volume was half of what it usually is. Can't seem to find what's wrong. BTW - This is my 2nd VCXT; the warranty replacement for my first one. :(

Time to move on, methinks. BTW: hope your team prevails, for your sake. Won't make a dent in my bottom line though.

BTW that should be XD not XT, but Doc maybe you're right. I waited patiently for the introduction of the new Princeton Reverb reissue, but the $699.99 intro price caught me by surprise. That's a hefty price for a practice amp. Then it jumped to $899.99 just a few months later so I settled for the VCXD. Not sure what I'd replace it with.

Gooooo G-Men !!

Is that a 'made in China'??? I was once talking to an amp tech who did all the repair work for the Guitar Centers in the area. I was asking him about the Frontman 212R. He told me that, in general, when they get those things in for repairs, they just cut the cords off and throw the amps away. Apparently the juice is not worth the squeeze. Maybe you should bite the bullet, get back into tubes, and get yourself one of the Hotrod series, a Deluxe Reverb, or Supersonic 22 if you want something a bit more modern.
