Me i prefer the manly sound the Les Paul gives, The Stratocaster gives out a littler girl cry.

Idk, I can get a pretty manly sound out of mine..so can Dave Murray of Iron Maiden and tons of other bands.

Guess it's just not in your fingers.

Heck, my tele sounds more like a beast than any Paul, even if it's got EMG's, trust me, I've tried one.

the clapton strats a lespaul killer regards sustain and tone.

BTW People This Idiot is nothing but a disgruntled ex-fender employee who was sacked some months back. He explained it all on some thread in dec/jan.

Gives a whole new perspective doesnt it

Booooorrrriiinnngggg, it was funny in the beginning, now it's obvious this dimwit has an axe to grind re Fender. Get over it dude, grow up and move on. Calling posters "sissy boy" is going to win you no friends here, like I suggested, try growing up a bit.

Why do you guys keep falling for this?

And I don't believe he's a sacked Fender employee. The child labor laws in the US make this impossible.

Why can't you all see that this thread is as relevant, insightful, and important as the dozen or more Greatest/Favorite Guitarist threads out there, and must be discussed thoroughly as he probably posts over at the Gibson forum at what he is doing here in an effort to try and look cool over there or something...

Thats one thing I don't get about the internet...people seem to forget that other people have the right to like different things, and the internet also leads some people to think that they need to tell everyone to use the same stuff they do because its the 'best'...

In the words of the late, great Frank Zappa....

SHUT UP AND PLAY YER GUITAR!

Play what guitar you like, you don't have to tell the whole world about it every other freaking day...I'll play what guitar I like, no matter how much you try to tell me that this or that is better, because (to me) music is about individual expression and choices, and not following the flock blindly...Many people on many of these types of forums tend to forget that, and get too caught up in "Who is Best?" and "This is Better." BS...

Agreed!

I would love to know why SBLS suddenly decided to dredge up every "greatest" thread on the forum. Not trying to be insulting to you Solid, but Why bro?

Besides, everyone knows I'm the greatest!

I believe the same user dredged up all the "Good Morning" threads a few weeks back causing me to freak out when I click on the forum and all I see are "Good Morning" Threads....I don't know why people do it, but you know that when it says Professional Musician or Rockstar under your name on this forum, that means you really are one, and you can put that down as your occupation on your taxes, so maybe thats why people do it....LOL.

Oooo! A while ago there was a gentleman who was under the impression we were writing those labels under our names ourselves.

Man, I'd be mortified if anyone thought I'd chosen to describe myself as a Rock Star! "Opinionated amateur" is what it should say under my name!

In the forthcoming upgrade of the website that's one feature I'm hoping Brad might drop.

Cheers - C

In one breath you are defending a posters right to post anything and in the same time you complain about someone posting something you don't like!! :? Which is it? Read and reply if you want to and ignore if you don't like it!!
