If there was a live CD made from his Continuum tour, it'd take the cake as my favorite. Can't beat Mayer live. Any Given Thursday should be in the poll as well. It's live, and it's great. If you like the acoustic stuff there's plenty, and he changes a lot of the songs up with some extended jams and stuff. Then on Covered in Rain you get a nice foreshadowing of where his career was headed in terms of guitar.

I love the Continuum songs live, and just as much on the album. But because the album is so tame in comparison, TRY! beats Continuum out a little bit for me.

I am a hard-core John Mayer fan. I love Try!- Out of My Mind is absolutely mind-blowing. His fingers move so fast, and that is most definately the Blues. "Village Sessions" is great; I got it when I saw him in concert, and Belief-Which is my fave song by Johnny Boy- Is great. I love to play john's songs on my gee-tahs. Why Georgia and Belief are my faves.

If you get the chance, go on Itunes, and by the AS/IS album. There are actually about 5; He plays songs like "Tracing" and "Humminbird" Live that you can't hear anywhere else.

It was a real toss up between Continuum and Try! but i had to go with Continuum. Biggest reason is Bold as Love. That song has been my favorite song since I heard Jimi's version sometime in middle school and I really think John did the song justice. All the other songs are incredible but to cover a Hendrix song on your album and it not leave people asking "Why?" says a lot about the song and artist. But I love Try! and if it wasn't for the process of making that album and touring with the Trio, I don't think John could have made a record like Continuum. Its all an evolution of a great artist.
