I hadn't really planned on seeing anything special until this past Friday, when this was announced:

"The Bob Dylan Show will make a bit of history in July when it becomes the first concert to be performed at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. The show will feature Bob Dylan and his band, John Mellencamp, and Willie Nelson on July 14. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 2 at a cost of $67.50 each. There's a $5.50 service charge for each ticket purchased. Children 14 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult ticker holder."

i just thought it really was an unecessary swipe especially when the thread is about summer shows.

+1 - You're right. It was, and I regret it.

After the Clapton/ Winwood show, post your review.
:D

Hmmmm maybe we should frame them for what Areosmith did in Hawaii and get a free show out of it.

Im trying to get good tickets for Buddy.

Also I don't drink. Mostly for the fact I'm way underage for it lol

I just got back from see The Dead at the IZOD Center in NJ.

The boys and Warren Haynes sounded very good, and a rocking time was had by all.

Branford Marsalis appeared with them - a great Sax player - I've seen him several times in the past with the Grateful Dead - he just seems to fit right in.

We will be going to see Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin & BUddy Miller when they appear on The Green at Shelburne Museum in June.

And we might go and see The Tragically Hip, a Canadian group, again at the Museum in July.

I will be going to the ACL Festival in Austin in October. This will be my third trip to Austin for this festival, great town, great venue. Tons of bands, too many to see all of them. I usually shy away from the headliners and cruise the smaller stages, great way to discover new (to me) music. The downtown after-show scene is always a blast too.
