I went to pick up a used Fender Hot Rod De Ville 410 yesterday evening. The price was going to be $450 for a 1 y/o Mexican made amp. When I got there I plugged in and gave it a run and was truly impressed with the tone. I mentioned that the only hesitation I had was the fact that it was made below the boarder. He said well maybe you'll want to look at the other De Ville! He ask me to go into the back with him and there was another 410, MADE in the USA!!!

Although it was a few years older and had one nick in the tolex, I thought what the heck lets try it out. The amp played great with the sweetest sound. The guy said he had received it on a trade and hadn't had a chance to clean it up, but had checked the electronics and they were fine. I decided to get the older "Made in the USA" amp. Here's the good part, it only cost me $350!
