I know you are perhaps just venting, but the "latest" Fender price changes is actually so 6 months ago, that most of us have gotten all the angst out of our systems by now... :)

We all have choices to make in life, if you want something bad enough, you'll always find a way. And if you don't, you won't. It really is that simple

I dont blame you for not wanted to get taken advantage of by GC. I think what the snowman was saying is hold out for the guitar you want instead of compromising and not really being happy with your choice . what ever you end up getting I hope you love it.

Shop around online, GC's prices are not always (if ever) the lowest.

Exactly my point BSG, thanks. I've made this same mistake, and regretted it. Just trying to pass on a little advice to the op, I wasn't trying to be smart :)

My old friend and bandmate lives in Phoenix. I've been there at this time of year so I can appreciate the temperature now. Was rather lovely in the evenings. Later on is another story. Missed an opportunity to attend a professional meeting in Tucson two years ago. Might get another shot at it though. It's a popular spot for that group.
