I saw this earlier this morning, I had hoped it would die a quick death. I agree with ZZDoc, these type of threads deserve no more than "radio silence". About as much use as a broken pencil this thread, pointless. That said.... I vote Fender

Come on guys... This is such a tired argument and it really just makes everyone mad. There is no better one, each guitar company (not JUST Fender and Gibson) have crowning qualities that make them unique and great in their own ways.

Mind that not....this sort of thing comes up often. It's just that since the inception of the Forum, this question has become redundant in the number of times it has been addressed.

my point is that if you want to bash Fender, this is not the right place to do it! (see the poll options?)

I'll just send in a written vote. I say Fender. Same quality for less money.

Fender is a great Guitar for the money but it is no where near a Gibson Les Paul when it comes to quality.

I don't have any quality issues with my Strats. How about some examples of your issues?

I simply don't vote in these polls, since I own two Gibsons. Similarly, I won't vote in Tele vs. Strat polls at the Stratocaster forum, or Strat vs. Tele at the Telecaster forum because I also own at least one of each.

Who the hell is that propoganda for? The guy sells gibson and is a authorized dealer and luckily repairer too.
Gibbon bad neck design is a common malaise among experienced guitarists. I certainly have no love for gibbon guitars and wont be as polite as Mr Roman about them when asked my opinion.
You could give me one, i'd soon find a buyer for the kind of money i think their worth.

Take note of your typos, and the context of the the discussion.....I'm just having some veiled tongue in cheek fun. :P There's been enough evidence presented to support the argument with respect to the design flaw in the LP. Our esteemed colleague is just busting us for his own enjoyment. Personally, I find these 'which is the better' postings tiresome.

Hence the word 'aping'.

It seems the guys a disgruntled, sacked ex-employee on further investigation.

Interesting revelation, that! On the other note, I was thinking that perhaps the LP influence had steered you to the use of 'gibbon' as in "Billy" :P

Take note of niki's commentary above. Apparently there are details within details not fully revealed here. 8)
