None of those guys are my favorites. I like some of them, but they aren't my favorites at all. My favorites are Jake Cinninger of Umphrey's McGee, and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead.

Rory Gallagher was famous for doing that 30+ years ago ..... if you want to hear and see an AWESOME acoustic/electric/slide guitarist check out Rockpalast. This was a German show that was broadcast in Europe and Gallagher played there several times. As Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple said " Rory Gallagher was the ULTIMATE performer " - play this once and you'll see why !!!!

cant decide between hendrix and clapton. both are good but hendrix was revolutionary.

first let me start by saying that Clapton is God. seond, theses are all very great guitarists (placed too low on the rolling stone list) and most play in their very own way. Hendrix would be second in my book and Gilmour third.

Why wasnt SRV, Page, and Blackmore on there?
