Aside from the obvious reward of having this AWESOME forum itself... I can't help but feel that there are certain deserving forum members that have done more than their fair share of research, experience, support, and expression in aid of this forum content (and no I am not referring to myself). I could say names but I won't go there in fear of creating envy or jealousy.
I am here asking Fender or anyone out there that has an idea how to reward these members even if it is with a simple special thanks or small gift.
Perhaps a free forum T-Shirt? It's just a thought and I'm throwing it out there.

Also a very special Thank You to Fender for this forum and all who support it; it's truely a great privilege to have it!

But who would decide who deserves it and how? If it depends on more than just the number of posts someone has made than it would probably cause some amount of conflict.

Brad will post our names to a dart board and toss away until we win prizes. One board for names, the other for prizes. That way there is some element of chance involved. :D

Every forum has the unsung heroes who have the knowledge and are unselfish and share that knowledge with us who wish we only had a smiggen of their experience! Here here, give them the store, they will find a way to share it with us! No losers in that are there?

Whoa that's a really interesting idea. And it just might work...

I see the various contests and things that Fender does from time to time as "Fender Rewards"...What I dislike are the contests that they post everywhere that says you will be entered every time you post, because that creates more Fender VS Gibson polls and threads...I mean it seems like we will always have one of those types of questions posted every week, but it seems worse in contest times...

Anyways...I feel Fender rewards us enough, and anything that Fender gives away for free is paid for by somebody at some point, and with all the people getting upset at Fender price increases in the past few months, I'm not sure if a rewards program is the way to go, because those rewards would have to be paid for at some point, whether forum members pay for them directly, or the person who buys a $1200 American Standard pays for part of the rewards...Just think about it. Fender raises prices, we want more free stuff, so in order for Fender to give us "free" stuff, Fender has to pay for it...will you be okay if they raise their prices a bit more in order to pay for the "free" rewards? This forum is free for us to use, but Fender is most likely paying someone for bandwidth and server space in order to give us this "free" forum.

Oftentimes what is FREE for some, is a BILL to someone else.

There have been plenty of Fender contests (even almost all of them for US residents only), I don't think we should ask for more!

Sometimes a "reward" is as simple as finding good information to a question that you have.

Is there any greater reward than knowledge. Mike as always nails it again.
I've noticed a big increase lately in fenders participation on the various forum sections. Where to my mind they tended to abstain from involvement in the past. Note Rob Schwarz's aid verifying a humble MIM strat on the strat forum, top class stuff that. Shane Nicholas with amps and a whole section devoted to the mighty Mike Eldred.

It just doesnt get any better than that to my mind. You never see this level of after sale involvement out of the opposition.

I agree with you guys, everyone ive met from Fender is outstanding and all appreciate the dedication to the Fender product line demonstrated here. I think this forum serves both its members and FMIC well.
However if given the opportunity to vote or recommend a special token of appreciation for a outstanding forum member I would.
Ialso think one of the finest experiences a guitar player can have is Fender University.
I dont know if Fender would be intested in a MVP contest to send someone to FU but it would be nice to see more forum representation at this event.

and I thought I was the only conspiracy theorist on the forum :)

I'm under the impression no one ever really "wins" a contest. It's just for fun. I've never won the Lotto even though I play it every week, never won any tickets from the oil company bottle caps that keep telling me I'm a loser, never won a car even though I enter all the manufacturer e-mail contests I get including Toby Keith and Kelly Clarkson, never won the HGTV home giveaway.

So I don't think we need anymore giveaways. Maybe another talent contest would be fun.
