I like the 2-tone and 3-tone bursts

For me it depends on the instrument. Some look great in a natural finish whereas I prefer some in just a plain gloss colour.

it really does depend on the guitar, pickups, pickguard, wood choices, etc. i like natural finishes on ash with maple necks and black pickguards. same goes for sunburst as long as it doesn't look too cheesy. but, i mainly like solid colors. blues and greens mostly.

When I was a kid just starting out, I really didn't care for the 'bursts. Kind of thought of them as an 'old man's' color. Now that I'm getting older I've come to appreciate their depth and classic look, along with the transparent finishes. (The white blonde on the 57 RI P's is to die for.) Now when I think about a Custom Shop P, if I could have my P built for me in any finish I'd like I'd probably go with a nice Nitro Black Cherry Burst like on the TC-90's.

I don't care much for bursts at all. I prefer a solid color.

I'm normally fond of the natural finishes but the candy apple red on my EJ changed my mind. It's absolutely stunning. Reminds me of an old Corvette or something.

Their should have been a choice "bursts and solid colors". I could not decide for the life of me which I like better.

Bursts and Solids, on the solids I prefer White or some variation of Blue.

As long as it plays great I can live with any finish. I have more Red guitars then any other color though. I know at least one person on another forum that hates Red guitars!
