Worth reading? I ran into it when searching for theory books online and it looked very intruiging. Is it anything like Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintanance?

And to the TS,

I'm reading Essays by Michel De Montaigne, and Wildwood by Roger Deakin at the moment :)

'Been averaging a book-read a week for decades. Latest-ish?

Nonviolent Communication--business language, political-social-correct-y, but interesting

Shattered Sword--The Battle OF Midway from the Japanese angle ('have read about 1000 books on WW II)

The Curious Incident of The Dog In the Night--a mystery in 1st person as seen by an autistic teen. Fascinating.

On Writing--Stephen King explains how to write

I, Me, Miine--George Harrison

Own 2nd novel pre-pub-polishing-up and a couple others in process.

Absolutely fabulous book.

I have a BA in English, so I like to read A LOT. Don't have as much time for it as I used to, but I still stick my nose in a book whenever I have time. I like books on history, music and fantasy. Stuff I'm reading or have recently read:

Why We're Liberals by Eric Alterman - interesting take on the course of liberal politics throughout the history of the USA
Feast of Souls by CS Friedman - Friedman is a recent discovery for me, I absolutely love her character development. This book is her latest, it's the first in a new trilogy. If you like fantasy, check this out.
W.A.R. by Mick Wall - unauthorized biography of Axl Rose - it's ok
Slash by Slash - funny read
Bang Your Head by David Konow - history of hair metal, interesting stories but written rather poorly
The Coldfire Trilogy by CS Friedman - intriguing read

Currently in a non-reading phase unless you include "Scales & Modes: In the Beginning" which is being used as supplimentary to being taught modes for blues/rock/jazz/progressive styles. I tend to read books out of necessity, interest, or curiosity. And I also tend to be voracious - as in reading a 500 page book in a day or two.

Last book was "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. Not much into fiction these days though I did read the entire Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Anything involving agnosticism, atheism, and Christ/Paul-ianity are subjects especially close to my heart and mind.
