I am an avid bibliophile. I love to read........almost anything.......I will read novels, text books, history books, sheet music and books about musicians and theory, various philosophic texts (I'm currently reading "The Upanishads" with "The Tibetan Book Of The Dead" on standby). I've even read encyclopedias......................Anybody else love to read?

I am always reading Tom Wolfe's The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. When I finish it, I go back and start reading it again. I'm also reading Rock Revolution. It's a book from 1969 about the music scene that was current at the time of its publication. The school library was getting rid of a ton of old books, giving them away for free, so I picked it up for free. I'm also reading Sometimes A Great Notion by Ken Kesey.

I'm also a big reader. I always have to be working through a book. Mostly biographies and I love classic fiction.

Biographies:

Crossroads - Eric Clapton bio
Bob Dylans Chronicles (waiting on volume two, if there'll be one)
Down the Highway - Bob Dylan bio
The Led Zeppelin Saga - (read this one cause there was nothing else to read at the time, I really wasn't interested. It just shows how much I love to read)

Classic Fiction: (It's alot of stuff that people just don't want to read)

Sherlock Holmes - volume 1 & 2
Journey to the Center of the Earth
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
The Mysterious Island
The Count Of Monte Cristo
Hard Times
The Beautiful and Damned
The House of Seven Gables
The Scarlett Letter
Gone With The Wind
The Death of Ivan Ilych

......and on and on and on, I'm not gonna bore everybody with all these titles.

I think I'm gonna read "North & South" next, Book 1, 2 and 3, should be a challenge.

Actually I've read most of the Classic Fiction that you listed. North and South should be fun. I'm also a history buff. I didn't list one of the books I'm reading currently: "Social Life In Old Virginia Before The War" by Thomas Nelson Page..........an active participant in Southern antebellum life.

Btw, G_H....what part of South Georgia are you from?

I just finished Killing Yourself To Live and am working on Fargo Rock City, both by Chuck Klosterman. Good stuff if you like rock'n'roll :D I'm also reading The Iliad and Atlas Shrugged and a book about surfing. Oh yeah, I just finished a book about Hunter THompson by his widow and one of Bill O'Reilly's books and one of Allison DuBois' too.

Over the last 20 yrs I collected nearly 200 books by what most consider to be the "best" authors or titles. I'm nearly halfway through them, but my "Guitar Player" and "Blues Revue" mags steal my reading time. Last book attempted -- The Art of War by Sun Tzu -- it's a tad dry.

Yep. Just a little dry. Interesting and thought provoking in some ways, though.
