I remember many years ago reading an interview with Joe Satriani where he was asked who his favourite guitarist was, and at the time he said "Prince" ... going on to say that it was a shame we'd never had a really guitar-heavy release from him. 20-odd years later, we're still waiting... but it's nice to get a taste here and there. Few performers own the stage like he does.

While I'm not a huge fan of Prince, I have to give him props. He's always been a great musician, a great producer and a great songwriter. Hard to deny that.

Yeah, thats a kickass performance that was when George Harrison went into the RNR hall of fame as a solo artist thats his son Dhani behind Tom Petty he looks just like his father.Prince is and always has been a killer guitar player and total musician as he plays mostly all the instruments on his albums. You can see he is damn confident in his playing and also a great showman .You can see he watched a lot of hendrix growing up.

Top-drawer writer, producer and arranger, killer keyboard and bass player, synth programmer, creator of relentless dance grooves, pursuer of fine looking women, AND a monster-chiller-horror blues/rock guitar player.

Prince is a wizard and a true star.

I have his Lotus Flow3r CD set and it's the only Prince music I've bought or been interested in. He plays all the instruments and does all vocals and his version of the old Tommy James tune, "Crimson & Clover" is pretty
clever throwing excerpts of "Wild Thing" in there. 8)

Feel Better...Feel Good...Feel Wonderful!!!

Prince: just gotta make time for that gentleman's stage craft.

And what a cool shirt collar too! So important to protect yourself from the ill effects of on-stage draughts...

Cheers - C

Prince is an awesome guitar player, but many people fail to see that because they get distracted by his wardrobe and fashion sense at times...

Ah, yes... the purple one. I've always been a fan of his guitar playing, but sadly, we don't get to see that part of him often enough.

I have to confess, I've always admired the purple one. I don't have much of his stuff, my street cred would be a shambles if I did  Great video from the OP, cheers for posting it.
