Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted, but I had to share a little story and some great new music with you all...

This past Friday night I got to see BB King at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO. It had been a long time coming and I was excited - as a matter of fact, after BB cancelled late last year for a date in Boulder, I don't think I have ever been so excited to see any particular musical act. I got my ticket - sprung for the price of a reserved seat - and was blown away. Now, the Boulder Theater is a nice, cozy venue anyway - so any seat in the house is not a bad one. My seat put me about 30 feet away from Mr. King's chair once on stage.

Needless to say, BB and his band put on an amazing show. I'd go so far as to say that it was the best live performance I have ever seen - and the man is 83 years old! I am honored that I finally got to see him play - and in such an intimate setting.

The other surprise of the night, and consequentially, the reason for my posting, was the opening act. The rumors were flying when I arrived (honestly, I didn't expect an opener) - "Willie Nelson's son is open..." No one really knew what to make of it - myself included.

Well, the lights were dimmed and a scruffy kid with a pretty Stratocaster come out and belted out some killer blues straight away - and he sounded an awful lot like Willie Nelson. Well, I have to tell you that it only took about three songs to have the entire crowd converted and rocking! There guys were great! I guess it speaks volumes when after the fifth song, Lukas announced that they had merchandise for sale but had, unfortunately, sold out all of their CD's the night before. Everyone in the crowd (seriously, everyone including me) let out a disappointed "aaaawwwwwwwweeeee."

Well, I really enjoyed them. The crowd in Boulder seemed to really enjoy them... so; I thought I'd share with the forum for those who have not heard. Enjoy!
