Just wondering is this guitar worth the $100. I could put heavy upgrades on it and would it sound anything like the real thing. I am buying a red one with a white pickguard on craigslist for a hundred dollars and it comes with a gig bag, picks, a 10 watt amp, and 2 tuners. I was just wondering am i getting a good deal and could i turn it into a real keeper??

The Bullet is pretty close to the bottom of the Squier product line. I don't think it even has the proper size body, either. My suggestion ... for whatever that may be worth ... is to hold out for a Standard or better. I recently found a Squier Deluxe Fat Strat for $125 in nice condiction the other day that has been haunting my thoughts. That guitar is a great platform (IMO) to modding heavily.

Squier product lines (in order):
SE
Bullet
Affinity
Standard
Deluxe
Vintage Modified and Classic Vibe (on par with each other for quality)

You can. What Bullet model is it?

I'd totally go for it.

Since the body on the Bullet is not as thick as that of a regular Strat, you probably would not be able to change out the tremolo block. However, you should be able to change pickups with no problem.

Is it the SSS with trem strat, or the older single hb in the bridge hardtail?

That's also a good point.

Heck, if it you like it, sounds like a deal to me. Especially if it comes with the other stuff.

Yea i love it and if i want i could put alot of expensive parts on it right, similar to the stratocaster parts. Will actual fender stratocaster knobs fit the knobs on the squier???
