Well Folks,
On Friday afternoon, my town of Murfreesboro was clobbered by tornadoes (at least four at last count). The largest is going to be classified as an EF-4 (166-200mph). It was on the ground for 23 minutes and destroyed a path 15 miles long by 1/2 mile wide. It missed my house by about a block and a half on one side, jumped over, and landed again about a block the other side! I will post pics later when I get a chance.

When I got home from work and entered my neighborhood, all I saw was a huge debris field and was certain that my house was gone - but thankfully it was not my debris.
100 homes destroyed, 700+ damaged...but only 2 fatalities that we know of.
Spent the weekend without power or internet access, but at least my house, my girlfriends house, and her daughter and parents were missed.

But over the weekend, I was given tickets to Todd Rundgren at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville - holds about 500 people.
Great show! His new CD contains some really good music and of course, he played a lot of old stuff as well. Todd still brings it!

WOW TC,

I'm glad you and yours are OK, shame about the others who were hit :(
Todd Rundgren, there's a blast from the past. I must look out my copy of Ra, it's been years since I heard that.

It seems as though there are disasters everyday! Good Lord! Not only that, but the same areas are hit over and over again! I can't even find the words for some of the tragic things going on. I live in PA... and even if we get a little drizzle, the people on the news calls it a "storm"...

And speaking of PA...

Todd Rundgren was one of my favorites growing up... I was really influenced by his solo stuff that he did by himself. I'm glad some thing put a little cheer into your weekend...

Troublecall, glad to hear you and yours are okay, and my thoughts are with the whole town as they start rebuilding.

I saw Todd Rundgren in Oshkosh, WI last summer. I was delighted when he did "Open My Eyes', the Nazz song off the first Nuggets album, and was even more delighted that I wasn't the only one there who knew it.

Good to hear you are ok. Tornadoes are a problem here in Minnesota too. You just never know when and where they will hit - and when they do it is usually a mess with great sadness all about.

I hope that is the last of them for a long time...................

I'll tell you, I live in South Florida and from May1 to Nov 30, I keep an eye on the weather every night for hurricane development. Got through Wilma with just minor damage to my house at the time and all my palm trees down, but at least we had days of warnings and hurricane shutters. Tornadoes, on the other hand, I see those videos and they scare the s**t out of me...

Here are some of the pictures of my neighborhood. All of these were taken about a block from my house, except for the gutter debris on the lightpole - which was about 3 doors down!
