I need to go to my brother's place to borrow his drill press, to mount the bridge and tailpiece, and the holes for the pickup mounting rings, and strap buttons. Then if the weather cooperates, i can finally finish up my Ibanez, and then start the finishing work on this.

Just catching up on this thread - there's a lot of very nice instruments here!

This is a nice photo:

mclmk8d, that is a very nicely chosen set of guitars. Pretty much a perfect combination of features - some good thinking on display there. 8)

I like gregbluesjr.'s black Gretsch too!

Keep 'em coming guys!

Cheers - C

PS Orville, I believe Twelvebar has been very busy with work recently...

I don't think so, I wiki'd it and got this:
The Marauder was heavily promoted by the rock band Kiss in the 1970s. Gibson ads featuring them even went so far as to call the Marauder "the Kiss axe". There was a Paul Stanley signature model known as "the midnight special" with Paul's signature on the pickguard. He and Ace Frehley were pictured with them during photo-shoots and Stanley with them onstage, but they both never actually played them live. Stanley only used them at the end of concerts for his guitar smashing finale.
If you find out what #3 is let us know.

If your talking abbout the guitar between the les paul and V it the Moderne, Look it up. Its a guitar gibbson only built 12 of in 58 as prototypes and then they scraped the guitar but still made the V and explorer. This one was a reissue and the ffirebird was a special epiphone VII, I dont have the firebird or moderne any more. They were awsome but wanted other stuff more you know how it goes.

Ohhh boooy

DeVinci13 you got to tell me man how is that LP Traditional. I have been looking at these (actially I love that particular colour combo of yours) in the last two months did not pull the trigger yet. How is the price in the "Winterpeg" . In Toronto they sell for $2440 still too steep and there is nothing on used market yet. I might wait till boxing day or after new year fro some clearance.

The Traditional is an unbelievable instrument. The fit and finish and build quaility is second to none. The pick-ups are a perfect match for the guitar, the tone is amazing. But honestly, I play my Les Paul Studio more than I ever play the Traditional, she basically sits in her case. I am to afraid to play her lest I scratch her.
The only place to pick up a Traditional in Winnipeg is Long and McQuade and they do not budge on their prices. $2450 plus 12% taxes is more than I wanted to spend. I travel to the US a few times a year for holidays so I ordered my Traditional from Sweetwater Guitars. They didn't ship to Canada at that time so when I was down in Texas for 3 weeks I had it delivered there. They were able to deal on the price and I picked it up for $1700 USD, shipping included.
If you get a Tradtional you will not be disappointed.
