Wow, you like the Wine Red Customs too!?

You did notice that mine say "Orville by Gibson" on the headstock? MIJ!

Orville Owner: I worked out what your user name was about the very first time I saw it. :D

I wonder when you got those guitars? And I remember nice stories to some of your other aquisitions - is there a story to those two also...?

Cheers - C

Well, you *are* smarter than the average bear!

Yes, story, long made short: I ordered the left one in 1998 (used from Ishibashi). It was damaged in shipping! But their shipping insurance covered it and they sent me the one on the right. :D

Now "they" never asked for the broken one to be returned!
So I had it fixed (headstock repaired by Mike Lull of Seattle) and couldn't bring myself to sell it!

here are two of mine.the left is a 1992 les paul classic and the right is a 2002 les paul standard.there are details to each but who cares..there Gibsons!...i used to only play les pauls(i actuallyl have two more). but then i got hooked on Telecasters. now that i have a hot rails with a coil splitter in my newest Tele i can use it for literally anything- blues, rock, funk, metal you name it. so these basically just stay home nowadays.

Well after all, he's "a bear of very little brain".

Which seemed appropriate to the moment. (And I couldn't find a pic of Yogi playing a guitar - though no doubt there's one out there...)

I like the simplicity of the DC Specials...a slab of wood with some nice P90s...easy to handle.

I had some spare time this weekend in between doing nothing, so I took a photo of my electrics...2 Fenders :D :D 2 Gibsons :D :D

New to the forum but not new to Fender.

The 1 of 25 Cognacburst, 50th R9 actually has my birthday month and year side by side in the serial number. Seemed like it was somehow meant to be . . .

Nice shot. Tell me, do you find yourself playing or cussing your Bigsby Tele more? I've heard both . . . I know they're tougher to string but my only concern would be staying in tune.

I'm a tremolo freak and there are so few choices for trems on Teles as you know . . .

Have a Lifeson ES-355 with Maestro Trem and cussed it constantly until I put a roller bridge and locking tuners on it and now it is sweet.

Sorry guys..I am the non conformist here...I am not a LP owner...they do have a great sound...but I feel like I am playing rubber bands with them...I stick to Teles and strats...but...I do appreciate their sound and looks..:)

No problems staying in tune with this one...I got lucky
