I belong to a Les Paul forum that has Strats on it--so why not the other way around--I'll have to upload some pictures to my computer so I can post one or two--maybe my Les Paul with my Mustang.

Lots of nice guitars in this thread--Les Pauls & others too.

I've posted this one before, but I'm reminded again just how much I love the sounds that are capable from this guitar ... 1959 Les Paul Custom "Black Beauty" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFAo-tFDRb4

That is a good a video. Real nice sounds.

I don't see/hear too many Les Paul playing guys going for that kind of sound.

Old Les Paul (RIP) himself would approve of that guy!

[quote="bluesguitar65"]Here are some of my Les Pauls.

"Tweedcase" has one in a lighter wood with that fabulous grain pattern. He shared a pic of it with me last night at dinner. Ya'll should set up pages on his website and share your guitar stories. That's what he established it for.

Agreed, Orv. I think some of the LPs best sounds are clean, in or out of phase.

BTW .... I really liked you LPs. That Gold Top is a beauty. What year is that?

It's a 1974.

Hey Orvilleowner: I like the Goldtop - but I like the two wine red Customs better! Very '70s Pete Townshend... and if that was what was on your mind it explains why you needed two!

I'm away from my babies at the moment, but this old pic contains my Custom - also wine red, though it kinda looks black here...
