Hey does anybody ever really have a period where you just can't do jack?
I'm having these moments pop-up more frequently then I care to have...:(
Anyway I guess I just wish I could take out some time off of school to focus on my guitar for like three months!
Or I might just need a new one

Every so often i'll pick up the bass only to find my fingers not doing what I want and stopping me from play anything. It's really frustrating but you just gotta accept that if that's the case then you're obviously not in the right frame of mind to sit down and have a good jam.

Usually happens to me when I'm quite tired and I pick up the guitar outta boredom rather than a desire to play, as it were. (this can work both ways though, some of the best stuff can be learnt/written cause of boredom :D)

It happens to most everyone at one time or another I think.

It usually helps me to take a listen to a new band I hadn't listened to before, or to just take a day off of playing. Sometimes I feel like there's just no where to go with it, that I'm playing the same crap over and over, or that I can't play things I could play before. New music or a break helps.

I've never met a musician who didn't hit a wall from time to time. When you hit a wall, sometimes it helps to take a few lessons in a genre different from your norm. Add something new to your musical mix.

I find taking a short break helps me. I am doing that now.

What's a short break to you though?
I've been trying on and off but I really can If I want to but it's just the fact that I really wish my drummer would be there for a good jam :p
