Golly... is that really how celebrities are? Well, thanks for clearing that up, dude... we had no idea.

I've met dozens of famous people, and most of them were perfectly gracious humans... BB King, Dave Brubeck, George Shearing, David Ossman, Peter Yarrow, Barbara Mandrell (when she WAS famous), Jeff Baxter, Bootsy Collins, blah blah blah blah.... and not one of them played the self-important "just try to penetrate the mysteries of my creative mind" jagoff routine that Thornton plays for this hapless DJ. Truth is, he's a hayseed with a minimum of talent, one lucky breakthrough script and performance, and a big fat nothing after that. I'm sure falling all the way down from Sling Blade to Mr. Woodcock must sting pretty good, but that's no reason to take it out on The Little People.

Billt bob has alway been a idiot headcase so none of this is new. I have never been a fan of any work he has done, acting screen or music stage.

Wow. Billy Bob made everyone in the room really uncomfortable. What agony.

In his defense, however, the host did ask some really hard questions like "When did the band form?" and "What kind of music do you like?" Nobody could have answered zingers like those.

There are more important things to write about than what Billy Bob says or does. Or any "famous" person for that matter... There are people out there losing everything that they own...

here is why he is a jerk......

here is a guy pursuing a career that all of us would love. He made it as an actor and now is doing something new. Many of us are trying to make ends meet in bad times. For this, he should be very very very grateful. He works or should i say, plays with good musicans..gets recording time..and tours. He should be the most thankful bastard alive and be grateful that someone, anyone wants to talk about his music with him. My wife is the only person who will talk to me about my music. Show the people who support you some gratitude and some humblness. So the interviewer made one comment about his acting. People say things I dont want to hear all day long. Get a life. No wonder why the hottie left you. Can I get an amen?

I listen to Jian Ghomeshi's show all the time -- I'm Canadian, you see -- and think he's a wonderful interviewer. I've never heard him do a bad interview or treat a guest badly. It's preposterous to demand that someone -- who is promoting your band by interviewing you -- eliminate relevant questions. Billy Bob Thornton's behaviour was puerile and childish.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but his band's website now hosts a lengthy article defending his antics. It's pablum, from front to back. The man can't seem to behave like an adult, and for that I pity him.

I did not watch the you tube, I have however been reading up on this whole thing. Apparently BBT was told that questions/comments about his acting career would not be any part of the interview. The interviewer probably didn't read that info and introduced BBT with his acting credentials which just flipped the switch in BBT's head and it was all down hill from there. I'm not a fan of BBT's acting or his group however, if he feels that the interviewer/show did not go by what was setup previous to the show then he does have the right to be upset. He can even act like his normal self if he so feels.

Theres a big difference between Billy Bob and Joaquin Phoenix is that The Boxmasters is Billy Bob is actually TALENTED. The Boxmasters are a really good band.

I guess that would depend on one's definition of "really good." Their lame playing and junior-high wiseass songwriting couldn't keep me in a neighborhood bar, let along convince me to buy a ticket

Also, note that The Boxmasters have cancelled the remainder of their Canadian tour, after being booed off the stage a couple of times following this stupid interview. According to the official release, a couple band members and a crew member have "the flu."

Uh huh. Sure sure, right right.

He's just being a jerk because supposedly the producers were instructed to not mention his film career. The interviewer mentioned his "cinematic endevours" to set up the interview and I think he answered all his questions to be an a**h*le.
