+2.

With the additional comment that his band sounds like a junior high school joke. He's the white male equivalent of Whoppi Goldberg: one dazzling, knockout success early, and then nuthin' for 20 years.

I think what were seeing there is the pressure of being in a band and having another carreer too. He's obviously sick of his acting carreer getting in the way of his band. The guys are probably blaming him in some way that everyone just wants to talk to the big actor man. So act hostile in the hope that the other guys in the band will be interviewed rather than himself.
Notice that as soon as he'd said his piece about not having his acting carreer mentioned and after making peace with the interviewer it was all BBT, the other guys didnt get a look in. Their all probably sick of it, can you imagine being a cornerstone part of a band and not getting any recognition because the drummer made a few films.
Looks to me like they are all feeling a bit of unease about it BBT included.
Hope they work it out soon.

I think Billy Bob's been hangin' out with Juaquin Phoenix.
That's very similar to David Letterman's interview with Juaquin.
Maybe they're sharing the same medicine cabinet!

I'll repeat myself: that "band" is a bad joke. If there was no Movie STar in it, they'd be no attention paid at all.

And when somebody asks you, "When did the band form?" in three different ways, and you keep saying, "I don't know what you mean/are driving at/etc.," then you're not feeling any pressure. You're either high or a jerk.

Hey FenderHeads-

BBT is an $@! and his whole act was just for attention- The interviewer was doing a great job- BBT just need to pull his ego out of his backside and check into reality.

The boxmasters are pretty cool...except for him.

I agree that they wouldnt be where they are without the excessive coverage that having a star brings with it. I wouldnt call em a joke though. Certainly there are worse bands around in all styles that sell more. I think BBT was trying to be wry/witty/ or even abstract and try and make the interviewer look a idiot rather than make reference to his acting carreer.

I like the band as a band. I watch films but he doesnt figure into my tastes as a actor. Give me taxi driver over sitcom films anyday.

You never know with celebrities. I once intereviewed Ed Marinaro, who just missed winning the Heisman Trophy when he was at Cornell. This interview took place right after he had just finished being on Hill Street Blues and we're at a Celebrity Golf Tournament in South Carolina and it's raining and we're all stuck in a very small temporary club house. So I ask him what I thought was an honest and poignent question. "How did playing football prepare you for an acting career? Well, he blew up like a hot air ballon, his answer was pretty abstract and in no way did he understand or answer the question. He said and I quote, "I have earned the right not to have to answer that kind of question." end if interview as he stormed away. Then Spanky McFarlen, Spanky of the Little Rascals fame also had a weird meltdown. This was when Eddie Murphy was doing Buckweat on Saturday night live. So of course I asked him what he thought about Buckweat getting shot on SNL? He ripped into a tirade about Eddie Being a #&*@Sucker $@!&#*%, SOB...I mean it was a strange few moments. Then I got to talk with Michael Jordan this was after his rookie year and he was the nicest most patient person. You have to understand all of these celebreties think their $@!& doesn't stink and they rule the roost. It's their way or the highway.
