Hello,

I just signed up for a membership and found a store near me because i didnt know that there were any Fender stores in my area but lo and behold there is one 45 minutes away from me so i'm excited about going and checking out the store. I live in a very rural area in Georgia and not close to any major cities so i didnt know there were Fender stores even available!! My question is this.... It says that in order to receive the t-shirt you have to download the form but when i try to open the document it wont open...it just goes back to downloading the form again?? i did this about 6 times but still cant get the document to load/open in order to print the form to take with me to the store? what am i doing wrong and can i get the form any other way like by email? If anyone can help me I would SO appreciate the help. My whole family is very into music (dad was in a band and now my nephew and son want to start a band-but my dad always had a fender instrument to play....so that is how i am familiar with the fender brand name! I have 2 brothers and a few b-in-laws that play some guitars, etc. too but not in a band presently). But I would love to be able to get the t-shirt form downloaded or sent to me somehow to get the tshirt when i go to the store to try out the instruments with my son and nephew. *They have a few guitars but not a fender yet and I want them to have a Fender brand guitar so it will probably be an early b-day present for my son!! He just doesnt know it yet!!

Anyway....any help would be greatly appreciated....I absolutely love the way the t-shirt looks and it would be worn PROUDLY!! *If i could get the dang form to open so i could print it out! And I love the Fender brand so its a win/win for me!!! I know my son and nephew will be excited to go to the store to look and shop for stuff-but just wished my dad was still here to do the same!!

Thanks,

Joy

P.s. Am i the only one this has happened to? Is anyone else having the same problem with the page not opening after downloading the file? the page just disappears and the download file box pops back up again(where it asks if you want to save or open file). I even saved the file in my documents and tried to open it that way as well but it still wont open the page to print the form out.....it just goes back to the download file box even after i saved it in my document too....

Mine opened with Adobe. Do you have that program?

Adobe reader takes up a lot of space on your hard drive. I'm using a pdf reader called "Foxit" and it opened it easily.

It's a free download too :

Download and enjoy! 8)

Hey....
Looks like I'm about 3 hrs south of you if you live in Atlanta... I live In Andersonville....its between Perry and Americus..... I didnt think there was a fender store anywhere near me but there is one located in Cordele and I have to go there once a month anyway so when i go at the end of the month i'm gonna check it out!! I'm excited to see the store and what all it has to offer!! My dad used to have a special type fender guitar when he played in his band 19 yrs ago before he got to sick to play anymore (he died of cancer at 42 yrs old when i was 17) but i'm gonna ask my mom what type it was because i remember they used to talk about this fender guitar/instrument all the time and how special it was to him and that it was supposed to be a special kind?? I wanna say if i remember correctly that they said it was a Les Paul type fender guitar?? am I way off base with that memory? or does that sound kinda right??

Well, thanks for the shout-out and a big hello to ya'll up a little more north of me....hope ya'll didn't get too bad of weather today where you are..i saw some weather news clips on some tornadoes that touched down in Atlanta and some damage..also showed someone with a home video of a tornado...very scary weather.....said there was an F3 that hit some part of Atlanta today but i'll still never forget the tornado we had here in Americus a few years back....that was like total mayhem...i was driving into Americus as the tornado hit and it looked like a bomb had gone off...total mayhem....everyone running around bloody/dirty with power lines down all over every road just about....no power/phone/..damage everywhere, glass busted out of all the stores or no stores/homes/etc left..trees twisted and mangled everywhere and all over the roads too......its a sight i'll never forget and i was about 3 minutes from being caught right in the middle of it...i got really lucky that nite...i drove into Americus just minutes after it went thru....

wow-sorry-didnt mean to go into flashback mode there.....just hope ya'll were safe today and didnt get any bad weather where u live....take care and it was nice talkin at ya!! Nice to know a fellow Georgian gave me a shout-out...and just wanted to reply to let you know i got the message!!

Take care,

Joy

P.s. if you or anyone else has any idea what i was talkin about with a Les Paul Guitar then let me know....that was supposed to be my daddy's "baby" when he played it in his band back in the late 80's...let me know if I remembered it right or not....lol if it is a special edition or collectors item, etc. now.

Greetings, I am not sure what guitar was your dad's exactly but I will suggest playing as many as u can touch and feel... take your time & go with YOUR instincts, get what feels best and most comfortable to YOU.
Trust me when I say that your Dad isn't alone in having a very special & dearly loved Fender instrument. Did your dad have any special guitar pieces he wrote and played? That would be really cool for you to cover or expound upon some of his work...
Good Luck I am sure there is an awesome Fender out there for you.
