this is Craig Erickson and friend of mine here in cedar rapids iowa. he is a great unknown talent with a style of his own. this is one of his bluesy tracks long but great pay attention after 7 mins he really shows off his style. anyway id like to get him a little more known for he is to good not to be known check this track out and let me know what you think

I have no sound on my computer but I will check this out when I can. BUMPing thread to show support for unsung talent. All great musicians start somewhere!

Pretty cool. He sounds like a rocker that is now playing blues.

From a producer point of view, I would say that this song needs more dynamics in the playing. During the verses, he's either playing too much and/or with too much gain. It's just constant jamming which starts to bore me. If he cut back on the gain during the verses and was a little bluesier/tastier instead of just constant jamming, it would make his solos and that outro stand out more. A little more structure and dynamics would add to the build up and make this good song a great song. Good guitar player though. He just needs to compose and arrange his songs (well, based on this one) a little better. It would make it sound more professional and show off his playing better. Sometimes it's knowing when NOT to play and when to hold back to make the jam parts so much better and stand out more.

Just my opinion.

You say it starts getting interesting around 7 MINUTES??!?

Life's too short. Besides, I think I've heard all this done before. Like, in the 70's.

Does he ever make his way to the Waterloo area by any chance?
