Mine would have to be anyone that can play Apache and do the arrow shot correctly with the echo chamber. Simple song but I love it.

Got to be the solo from the Kingmen's version of Louie Louie.

Once made my college roommate burst out laughing.

I think my fav is probably Andy summers in 'So Lonely'. I think it is almost perfect, obviously great melody and most importantly does not go over board

Right now thinking of Johnny Winter - Highway 61 Revisited. But will change my mind in 5 mins if I think a little more.

So many to pick from for so many reasons, Gilmour on Comfortably Numb, Page on Dazed and Confused etc. But I am going to go for Hendrix on Hey Joe. Just perfect for the song.

I always love playin the violin solo from Ben E. Kings Stand by Me on Guitar. If not that the Comfortably Numb is unbelievably good and I love Double Talkin Jive by GN'R too.

In the first group I was in, back in the sixties, I was the rhythm guitarist but they let me have the solo in Louie Louie. So it always felt like my moment to shine when we played this. It was the first solo I ever played with a band, so I have fond memories of it.
I have heard so many great solo's now, it is too difficult to name one as a favourite but Clapton's solo in Badge is up there. :D

At this moment in time, my solo I've just recorded tonight  I love it when something just clicks together, all improv but it's cool 8) I think so anyway  On a more serious note (forgive the pun), I'm listening to a lot of old stuff lately, one solo that stands out for me is on a Frank Zappa tune. Joe's last imaginary solo  on Watermelon In Easter Hay.
