It is no doubt that my Strat has become my devoted #1 (demoting the Gibson that previously held that spot for so long).
But competition may be on the way ... as it is a Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 RI that is singing the sirens' song in my head now...

I got 2 strats taht I love to play, but I also have a Suhr and Ibanez that I play also. They all have a personality of their own and what I want to play song wise sort of dictates which guitar I pick up

Out of 9 guitars/basses that I own 4 are Fender (and only 1 Gibson), Out of 4 amps that I own 2 are Fender.

Some times you just need something a little different.

I love Fenders and pick on my buddy's all the time, but I can't afford the one I really want right now. I play on a Washburn acoustic right now.

I adore Fender........somethin special about them. I would love a Gibson LP but I would play it through a Fender. I'm only a quarter American but I love the fact my sound is US based. Never had the urge for a Marshall except for cabs..............but thats to drive a Fender head. lol

Like others have already said, I love my Fenders, two Tele's and one Strat. But..... I also have two gibson guitars, I was recording with my Les Paul just tonight. It's the first time I've had her out in a while, I'd forgotten how cool this guitar is. Out of them all, I have to say my CIJ Tele is my number one guitar. And she's away being set up at the moment  thus I was using the gibby  I've also owned PRS guitars, have to say they were decent players too. But after my first Fender experience, I just had to have more. Same goes for Fender amps, I've had Peavy amps, Marshall amps, Line 6 amps (still have my spider jam) but my Blues Jnr blows them all away on tone. Great guitars, great amps.... Bravo Fender

I have never been without a Telecaster and a Strat since 1970 That's how much I think of them. Can't imagine life without these dream machines. 8)

Fenders are definitely my favorite but there are obviously plenty of great guitars out there from many different companies. I'd love to get an SG at some point. My bandmate, meanwhile, just picked up a Rickenbacker 330 -- THAT is one beautiful instrument! And a co-worker of mine bought a Carvin solid-body last year that is of excellent quality. Carvins are a great choice for those of us (especially us lefties) that are looking for something a little different at a reasonable price.

As you see from previous posts, and any posts to follow, a lot of people here have multiple guitars and multiple brands...remember...GAS is your friend!

I currently own nothing but Fender Teles (3) and one Martin Acoustic. That will change tomorrow because I am getting my first Gibson. I have owned an Epiphone Casino for a short time but sold it. I have owned and sold all of the Beatles guitars, including a revered Roeewood Tele. I have owned a couple of Gretsches and Ibanez archtops. Now, wanting to add the best archtop, I fell in love with a Gibson ES 339, a smaller bodied axe that has a special Delta or Memphis tone pot for Blues and classic Rock. I have always owned Martin Acoustics except for one Fender Sonoran, which was a good guitar for the money. I must say, I looked at the possibility of getting another Gretsch, a low end 5122 or even a '72 Thinline Tele. For some reason I wanted a double F hole body and the cost of making a Tele 2 hole Body just didn't make economic sense. I made a nashville Tele and that ended up costing three times as much as I thought it would. It's a great sounding guitar, but The low end Gretsch was also a guitar I wasn't sure would fit the bill for my needs. The 339 fit nicely size and sound and it sounds much like a '72 thinline and you can also get a little of that Tele growl. So, as I take that first Gibson step, I am hoping it will be my only transgression to the enemy. I don't want a les paul or an SG and forget any other guitar Gibson offers, though a 336 is a possiblity because it is just like the 339 only it's made up of solid wood and not a laminate I know My next guitars will be a 52 re issue and possibly another rosewood Tele. I will always be a Tele man!

I own two strats, both very customized, a 94 MIM and my prized 98 MIA. I would be fine with nothing but those. I also own an Ibanez bass, my Peavey "metal" guitar with a floyd for when I want to go bezerk, and a Washburn A20. I do have my eye on a PRS Mira though. Very cool guitar.

I am an unabashed Fender Stratocaster junkie. If my measly means allowed I'd aquire more. Perhaps Grad school will payoff and allow me to feed my addiction.
