I really love Fender Guitars. I especially love the Stratocasters and Telecasters. I have a Stratocaster HWY 1 and "another" brand guitar.

Your gonna find that guitarists love all sorts of guitars. I do not care what brand I have as long as it plays well. I can tell you that right now my Fender is my #1 guitar and will be for a long time. RK

I love Fenders. Absolutely love them. But I don't limit myself. There's so much variety out there to enjoy and discover still.

While Fender Strats are my favorite, and I really have no interest in buying a different brand for anything I do, I think Fender acoustics are crap.

I own different brands of guitars, electric and acoustic, and amps. I have no interest in owning "nothing but fender".

While I mostly play Fenders, I also have a Guild full sized (X150D) -- nothing really like that in the Fender world. That's for big band era playing or just when I want to be mellow.

I have a Yamaha ES-1500 that's very similar to a Gretsch for when that rock-a-billy mood hits. You can actually play one or both pups in combinations of single coil or humbucker mode so it's really versatile and very high quality (they told me quite a few manual steps and hand finishing).

On acoustic, I play an Epi Masterbilt - Korean made but high quality work.

Several Fender basses (fretless and fretted P-basses and a unique MIJ "Jazz Bass Special" that has one of each pup). But my go to bass for the exact sound I go for usually is the Gibson SG reissue.

So as you can tell by the collection, I'm a BIG Fender fan but I don't exclusively play them. If nothing else, there are several niches they don't cover (the Guild jazz box) or not as well (the Yamaha).

I like Fenders best, but I own and try out other brands too. Including *gasp* a Gibson Les Paul! Playing one kind of guitar is like eating one kind of food. Even if it's great, sometimes you need a change.

Count me in as a Fender lover. As far as solidbody electrics go, Fender is it for me. Not that I haven't craved a Les Paul from time to time but Fender guitars inspire and challenge me to play them. I love the Fender history as well. When you pick up a strat or a tele, you have a direct connection to the man who's name is on the headstock. On the other hand, Les Pauls, SGs, 335s. etc. have little to do with Orville Gibson.

Let's just say I love playing guitars! If it is a nice guitar I don't care who made. It makes no sense to buy something just because of who made it and face it there are other well made guitars out there and you are limiting yourself if you don't beleive that.

I don't even have a Fender.
Yet.
When I've finally gathered the money, I'm gonna get myself a deluxe players strat. But they're really really expensive here in the Netherlands, and all my neighbouring countries.
Till then, my Dean Evo Dragster's fine, as are my Roland 20x cube and my Alice picks.
