I test drove and bought the amp a week before. I did play by the rules and test drove it again, though. Fender knows that a crap-ton of people are just going for the shirt. They'll sell amps because of it though. More than enough to cover the shirts.

I'm going to do the test drive but with an open mind. I'm looking for a deeper sound (probably with a 15") to add to my Bassman rig. If I hear just what I want, a purchase is likely but I won't buy something "just because."

The shirts are cool and everyone likes the one I already have from a past promo. Worth having, in my opinion!

By the masses wearing these shirts, Fender gets massive free advertising and you are obligated to at least, try their amps to where you just might buy one.

The shirts themselves are a Fender advertising write off.

Who is really 'getting over' here?

When they did the "Test Drive a Strat and get a FREE SRV Poster" thing I wanted to do it but when I asked they said you have to have enough money to buy it in the first place in order to test drive it. So I just went on ebay and bought a poster there.
So yeah, I'm not going to be test driving anything in the near future... But if I had the money, I would.

Once again--only available int he US.

Why did I even both checking?

Hey fender--people buy amps in Canada.

I bought G-Dec Jr last year, and wouldn't mind another Fender amp.

As much as I would love to have the t-shirt, I will not participate in this promotion. I don't like to waste a salesperson's time by merely looking when he could be selling to someone else.

I would, but the last time I was in the Fender dealer in town here, it seemed like business was lagging a bit, so right now I would feel sort of bad for going in, trying it, but then not actually buying it in this weird economic period just to get a free T-shirt....Plus, I don't need any more T-shirts anyways, as I could probably go about 4-5 months wearing a different T-shirt everyday before I would run out of clean T-shirts to wear right now....
