In 1977 George Harrison was found guilty in a Court Of Law of plagerism (sp) for his song My Sweet Lord. The chords of He's So Fine by The Chiffons are exactly the same. George promptly went out and bought the entire Chiffons catalog to avoid having to pay anything for the use of the song.

Actually, that's not accurate. Harrison considered purchasing Bright Tunes, talked to Bright Tunes about the possibility, all while Allen Klein tried to buy Bright Tunes for ABKCO (and screw Harrison out of the settlement, even though he was supposedly representing Harrison in the suit). In the end, no deal was made prior to trial. Klein eventually DID purchase Bright Tunes, Harrison argued that as an insider he should now be awarded nothing....

Here's the actual story:

I guess my source was not as correct as I thought.

George Harrison was married to Patti Boyd in the late 1960s. When Eric clapton met her, he fell madly in love with her despite the fact she was married to his good friend George. He eventually took her away from Harrison who............ sang at their wedding!

Patti Boyd has just recently written a book about her life. From what I have heard there is some interesting stuff in there.

Yeah well remember there are 3 sides to that story and hers is from the womans perspective. Interesting to see what Eric has to say, of course George is beyond communication.
