Once again, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

Just a little additional news...

My Fender® dealer up in Wisconsin contacted me several days ago and mentioned a deal that I just couldn't pass up. He told me that he brought in a Fender® Precision Bass in the Mike Dirnt Artist series. I was in the area on Chapel business and stopped by, tested it, did some basic BadAss II Bass Bridge® adjustments right in the store and bought the bass on the spot. This Mike Dirnt version has a slab ash 1951 body in black with a white pick guard in the 1955 style as well as the Elite tuners, walnut neck and Custom Shop 1959 style pickup.

I'm very happy with all three Fender® basses that I now have and the Mike Dirnt Precision is a welcome addition to my Fender® Power Jazz Bass Special and my Fender® Precision Standard Bass. Looking forward to getting back to 'Bama to do some serious practice and gigging.
