I've been a member here at the Fender® Forum since mid January 2009 and I just wanted to mention that I started out in January with a Fender® Power Jazz Bass Special from 1987. Installed GHS flatwounds and am running it through a Fender® Rumble 100 amp. I liked this set up much better than either the 1985 Gibson Victory STD or the Kay Proline that I had been using for nearly 25 years. In fact, I just purchased a Fender® Precision Standard Bass last week. One active and one passive for all my bass playing style needs.

Definately recommend the Fender® products !!

No replies are really necessary, guys and gals - this is just a short testimonial. :)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I have been posting in the P-Bass and Jazz Bass areas since January and I hope that some of my technical experiences with things over the past 25 + years has helped others here in troubleshooting stage and venue sound resonance issues.

I'll be around more often soon... as a Christian Pastor, my schedule is a bit compressed right now. I am the administrator of an independent group of Chaplain Responders who goes in to post-hurricane devastation areas along the Gulf Coast to assist the Red Cross with victim assists and resource management. Since the start of the 2009 Hurricane Season is only 52 days away, our pre-season preparedness and testing of our owned and licensed two way radio systems is critical right now. I also am a volunteer weather analyst for a weather studies group headquartered in Baldwin County, Alabama, that tracks Hurricane progress and posts unofficial advisories in websites and forums all across the Gulf Coast states.

When Hurricane Season is calm and for other times of the year, I manage a 5 state ministry and participate, as needed, as a back-up bass player with a variety of Christian Contemporary bands in the south and upper midwest.

Thanks again for the nice welcome... I appreciate your kindness.
