I bought a CD of Kings X recently. I had no idea they were a christian band, makes no difference were they are coming from. Just loved the tunes.

I first heard the Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline when I was 9, and my first question was "What's that instrument that's playing called?" in reference to the electric guitar. They're why I wanted to play guitar in the first place, although I didn't get around to actually playing it until I was 13. My first few songs were Audio Adrenaline songs. "The Houseplant Song" which is really goofy, and really easy, the main riff of "Dirty", "Leaving 99", "Mighty Good Leader" and "Underdog".

I liked the guitar work in Bag Lady and many other song from their Bloom album. I saw them with Tobymac on tour the year before their farewell tour. It was quite fulfilling.

i can't believe no ones said Petra, they have made countless praise albums, that will truly bless you. i just wish they were still together making that joyous sound unto our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God bless each and everyone of you.

I think Christian rock has no soul or originality anyone can speak about some spooky father figure or zombies but it takes soul to talk about what you are feeling.

As a non-Christian it's never really appealed to me, for obvious reasons, but there are some very talented people playing it.

I can even put up with some of it, but eventually the "God is great" message gets to be a little bit much.

I never said you were not in touch with your heart quit quote mining i said when you play to worship you are not playing from your heart.

Anyone can Put God and Jesus in their song nothing original there.

"Your's is jut hardened" Says who? Your Bronze Age Buy-Bull?

There are plenty of people who truly believe what they're singing about and are "playing from their heart." I imagine a majority of the people who have dedicated their lives to their religion fit that bill.

That's funny, since to actually worship you have to play from your heart.

One thing I've learned is that even if it's not soul or blues music, and even if I don't like the kind of music at all, there are still people who are completely into it and play from their heart. Just because I'm not digging the style or the lyrics doesn't mean that no one is, and it doesn't mean their heart isn't in the right place. I have to respect that.

Yo, the point in christian music isn't so much originality (in lyrics) as praising God.

You should listen to some of those artists I listed. I don't know if you'd like them, but give them a try. Try to be open, please.
