I've got some signed Third Day picks, and some really old The Who picks.

I have quite a few that I've acquired over the past 40 years. Some of them are signature picks, autographed, custom made. I started keeping them in a jar many years ago and have some very unique ones.

Unexpectedly caught a pick thrown from the stage by Joe Bonamassa. The guy behind me was so desperate to have one I gave it to him - he nearly cried with delight!

Aaah - bless...

As to weird picks: I heard a story of a guy who had an injury to his big toe and after several weeks the nail came off in one piece. He sharpened it up to use as a plectrum.

...Ew!!

Ive got a bunch of picks from people over the years - my most prized one is a orange see through pick from Billy Gibbons - I have some from Richie Sambora, Tom Keifer (Cinderella), Gary Allan, Keith Urban, Steve Via, Scott Ian (Anthrax) - id love to have an SRV pic, unfortunately, those are HIGH HIGH dollar, if you can find them!!

I usually like to have someone autograph a CD, but I do have some prized picks (at least by me).

No pics, but here's a list of the picks:
Keith Wyatt - The Blasters (just regular pick) I specifically saw them in concert because I like his "Fender" DVD. I asked him if he could give me the pick he played the concert with. He's a really nice guy.

Ace Frehley - not given to me by him, it's just a promo pick that came in his 12 Picks CD.

Gary Hoey - (his logo pick) He gave a demonstration at a local guitar shop of the Cyber Twin when it came out. I was first in line and asked if I could have a pick. He gave me one and I asked if I could have the one he gave the demonstration with, he did. Also got a few more when I saw him in concert a couple of times. Another very nice guy.

Buddy Holly - well, don't get excited. There's a Buddy Holly museum in Lubbock, TX and they sell picks that say Buddy Holly Center on them. I still like it though.

REO Speedwagon -
Dave Amato - (logo pick) He threw it to me after he finished the song Keep Pushin'.
Bruce Hall - (logo pick) After the concert was over Neil Doughty grabbed a bunch of Bruce's picks off the mic stand and threw them into the audience.
Kevin Cronin - (logo pick) After the lights went up, a roadie grabbed a few of Kevin's picks and threw them into the audience.

Rick Springfield - (logo pick) He walks out into the audience and plays during the concert. He knows me and gave me one then. Another nice guy.

Frankie Sullivan - Survivor (regular Fender pick). He dropped one off the stage when he was playing on stage. After the concert and the lights went up I looked for it and found it.

Tommy Shaw - Styx (logo pick) He gave some picks to people in the audience. After the concert, me and my wife were waiting with people outside behind the rails hoping to see them pass. My wife starting talking to this girl about the concert, and about how it is her favorite group, and just about stuff in general. The girl said she got Tommy Shaw's pick and gave it to her. That was very nice of her.

I have a Dick Dale pick that he handed me from the stage back in 97 IIRC. A friend got a Jimmy Buffett pick at a concert and gave it to me as I couldnt go. I also have a pick I asked Dave Wronski of Slacktone for at a show in Florida. Tried to get a BB King pick, as he was throwing them out by the handful. No pick, but I did get a pin. As a guitarist....I'd rather have had the pick!!!

I have one from Sammy Hagar someone gave me, and one from Atreyu. I have one that I used in the first battle of the bands I played when I was 15 sealed in acrylic.

If you ever decide to get some customized, don't go with the cheapest, they don't do a good job! On the other hand, maybe I'm just being too 'picky'. :?
