Ok we just had the G20 sunmmit in london a few days ago. All kinds of protesters turned up, eco warriors, anti capitalists, all sorts. Now these people all have their own agenda as do most malcontents. One group were the anarchist party, now from what i can surmise their agenda is more akin to communism than any form of chaos. Doesnt this go against the very idea of anarchy? From what i've seen most anarchy sects across the world are much the same, 'dont follow their rules follow ours instead' being the general slogan.

It's okay. The protestors -- even the full-on wackadoo's -- help keep things in line.

I do find it hilarious that anarchists form together into groups and have an established symbol.

That level of organization seems incongruous with the philosophy...

See i find it confusing. I reject pretty much all authority on the basis that i govern myself quite well. I particularly enjoy rejecting so called anarchist movements that want to tell me what to do. So to what faction would i belong? I'm not a nihilist as some of these groups label people like me. i dont want to destroy everything.
Dont you find it funny that all these anarchists use state hospitals, get state provided benefits and walk on state owned pavements but hate the idea of a goverment that provides such things for them?

most are just lazy crybabies. Most anarchists I have met, wouldn't last a week without a world order to protect them.

You have undoubtedly seen what i have on the punk scene most anarchist punks aren't punk at all, just hippies with spikey hair wanting to save everything except soap.

i got in trouble during a punk gig, for asking when the punks started to think they were hippies. I played in a punk band, when punk was raw, though I was never really part of the scene. It was a side project for me,one of a couple bands i played in at the time, with a couple friends who were really into it.

I have a lot of punk albums, but it was never my sole area of interest. Actually, with the exception of the singer, it was the exact same lineup we played blues/rock bar gigs, and some speed metal shows. And only a singer and a bass player from a lineup we di 4 or 5 country gigs.

But it was kind of funny watching the punks soften out. I remember the first time I heard the phrase "Punk is about peace", I was like "WTF!?! what happened to breaking a bottle over your head and eating the glass?"

Anyway, the anarchists I met playing those shows were either totally clueless, or they were posers, in it to look rebellious and impress stupid girls. or they were both. Not one of them could explain how or why the world would be better. And none of them could explain how, under their ideal system, they could stop me from stealing everything they own and killing them. Anarchy is for stupid people.

Ah but i've got it all figured out. Come the breakdown of western civilization i'm going to invade a local castle. Get the inlaws to man the battlements and we'll all eat the livestock. Obviously i'm not going to disclose the fine details, you could depose me if i did that.

Just the result of one of my many insomniac mental wanderings.

And another thing: if they really believe in disorder, why do they all dress exactly alike? And usually in surplus army gear?

heh emo kids, wish wwe had thought of that little cutdown for the kids listening to 'The Smiths' when I was in high school. To this day 'Girlfriend in a Coma' is still more emo than emo. Damn, I want to smack the kid that sat behind me in algebra 25 years ago!! maybe some temporary anarchy wouldn't be too bad
