I have lived by these 2 rules most of my adult life. I shared them with one of my younger brothers many years ago. He admitted to me a couple of years ago that he went for years not understanding my complete meaning, he now understands.


Rule 1: Don't sweat the small stuff (this is actually supposed to be another word but for the sake of cleaning it up I have used the word stuff).

Rule 2: It's all small stuff.

Gotcha. i read "divine order" as meaning something like "an intelligence that put everything in line."

But if you remove that phrase.... does the existence of physical laws negate chance?

For example, my little brother drowned in the neighbor's pool when he was 15. It's true that anyone who fills their lungs with water will suffocate and die. But it's complete chance that on that day, he accidentally sucked enough water into his lungs to kill him.

That's all I'm saying: yes, the universe runs on immutable physical principles: lions bite, water boils at 212 degrees, you can't breathe water. but none of those things remove chance and coincidence from the course of events.

Not always. Depends on the atmospheric pressure. Hence the reason for high altitude cooking directions.
