My main stage acoustic guitar remains a Cort Earth 100. It's a budget model designed by somebody who knew where to spend and knew where to save. I've modified it quite a bit with a Dean Markley piezo pickup under the bridge, new bridge, aluminum bridge pins, moving/adding strap buttons, new tuners, thousands of pick scratches and almost ten years of rock'n'roll dings. It's a great guitar with a great sound that I wouldn't ever sell.

I picked up a New Korean made Squier Strat for $100.00. It was Purple, Left Handed, and a Squier so no one wanted it. It hung in the Music Store for several years. Every time I went in there they told me I needed that guitar and should buy it. WELL, one day I walked in and started in on me about it, so I asked them to make me a deal on it. $100.00 out the door was the response I got. I told them I'd take it.
The color reminded me of Barney, so that is what I named it. It played fabulously after I set it up. I even put in a mini toggle to kick in the Bridge pup when I wanted. I wish I would have kept it.

It's on the right in this pic:

Here's my $169.00 Agile A/E Ovation Copy. I replaced the saddle with a bone one, dropped the action down low, put on 10 gauge electric strings, and I love it!!!!! I have bought and sold other acoustics (Takamine, Ovation), but chose to keep this one over them.

Considering what I've got invested in them I think all 3 of my Fenders were inexpensive....

1991 (approx) Fender Montara A/E-$250 including hard shell case

1978 Musicmaster bass, got it free and spent $250-$300 restoring it, plus another $45 for a used hard shell case.

2005 Tie Dye Strat-$260 also including a hard shell case.

Considering what I see these particular ones go for on Ebay what a new Strat costs I think those were all good deals. Love 'em all and wouldn't trade any.

The acoustic bass in the back is now gone, just didn't play it enough.

That tye-dye STRATOCASTER is awesome.

Thanx, it is so smooth, haven't done a thing to it, got it out of the box, opened the case and tuned it.....nice from the get go and that HB is a very hot pickup.

Hey, Chet, what's the guitar in the middle of the picture? It looks familiar.
Thanks!

Yea, this bad boy for sure. The really nice part was that it was part of the package so I got some useful stuff with it. Gigbag, tuner, strap, etc.

For being made out of some "strange" stuff, Danelectro's are some sweet guitars.

I paid $220 for my Sonoran SCE. Great sounding guitar, I really like it.

I paid $200 for my Squier M80 and it is a really great playing guitar. I have a blast with it.

A Nuno Bettencourt? They are far from being low cost
N4Vintage = 2500.00
N4 = 1500.00
You can still find N2's for 500.00 I have not seen a N1 for a while but you may pick up a used one at a deal.

I've never had a chance to play one of those new Sonoran's but they appear to be very similar to my Montara, if so than I'll back you up on they sound and how comfortable they are. 8)

I had thought Dillion were made in Korea.
